Using your own DOMAIN or SUBDOMAIN with our web app

Using your own domain:

If you want to use your own domain name with our app or service, please follow the instructions below.

STEP 1: Register a domain name

You can do so at your favorite domain registrar. We recommend Namecheap.

STEP 2: Point your domain name to our server

Watch This 39-Second Video:

The final result in your domain registrar (like Namecheap) should look like this:

Video Summary:

  • In your domain registrar, go to ADVANCED DNS and add two "A" records.
  • "A" record #1: Host: @. IP address: 136.243.7.149
  • "A" record #2: Host: www. IP address: 136.243.7.149
  • Save the settings. Done!

STEP 3: Add your site as a domain in our web app

That's it! You can also take the 3 steps above in any order you want, and your site will still work.

Using your own subdomain:

If you want to point a SUBDOMAIN of your domain then, you should add only one "A" record. Example:

Let's say you want to use the following subdomain for your site:

coolsite.somedomain.com

You would add the following in your domain registrar:

"A" record: Host: coolsite. IP address: 136.243.7.149

When adding your site to our app, enter in the DOMAIN option (not the directory option) your full domain and subdomain. For example: coolsite.somedomain.com

Note 1: Make sure all your "A" records point towards our server 136.243.7.149. If there are older records pointing to other IPs, please delete them.

Note 2: It may take a domain or subdomain up to 48 hours to propagate and start showing your site. It may also take our system up to 30 minutes to asign an SSL certificate to your site. We appreciate your patience.
