Using your own domain name with our web app

You will not have to pay for hosting, as we take care of this for you. While setting up your website, you can use your own domain. For example: your-domain.com.

If you select to use your own domain, then you will need to change your domain's default nameservers (given by your domain registrar), just like with every other domain you register.

Video Summary:

  • In Cloudflare.com add two "A" records, that point to our server's IP 136.243.7.149.
  • The 1st record will be your new domain (for example, "your-new-domain.com").
  • The 2nd record will be "www".
  • In your domain registrar (we use Namecheap), add the custom nameservers Cloudflare gives you.
  • Then, add a new site in our web app, using your new domain name. Do NOT enter "http://" or "www" before the domain.
  • When visiting your domain name, you MAY see some errors on the page initially, like "502 bad gateway" or others. Don't worry. This is normal and it will be fixed automatically after the domain and SSL propagate fully (up to 48 hours, but usually within a couple of hours).

The final result in Cloudflare should look like this:
