Moving a site from our web app to your host

Sometimes, you may have created a site hosted with our web app, but you want to move it to your own hosting server.

You may want to do this in cases like:

• You want to sell (flip) the site, but the buyer wants to use their own host.
• You want to move the content to a stand-alone WordPress site you have even more control over.

To do this, follow these instructions:

• Login to our online app with your username and password.
• Visit the dashboard of the specific site you want to copy/move.
• Go to: Extra Options > Export
• Choose what to export > Check "All Content" > Download Export File
• Login to the stand-alone WordPress site on your hosting account.
• Go to: Tools > Import > WordPress > Install Now > Run Importer > Choose File > Select the export file you downloaded earlier > Upload file and import > Assign posts to an existing user > Select the user > CHECK "Download and import file attachments" > Submit.

IF you get an error saying "Failed to import, Invalid post type" just ignore it. :-)

Feel free to visit your "Posts" page in your stand-alone WordPress site, and you should see that all the posts (including text and images) have been imported.

Keep in mind that this process will only export/import the content of a site (categories, posts, text, images etc). The final stand-alone WordPress site would need to have its own configuration of plugins and theme(s).
