Click "Apply".

Click "Publish".

If for any reason the template doesn't "look right", for example, it shows unnecessary elements like a sidebar with posts, here's how to fix it. From the top of the screen, click "Edit Page".

From the right sidebar change the "Template" from "Default Template" to "Elementor Canvas", and click "Save". Yes, you did this in a previous step, but sometimes Elementor templates need a "second saving". :-).

The simplest way to do this, while still preserving the initial homepage (in case you want to revert back to it) is this:

Create a NEW page with a title like "New Homepage".

Click "Publish" twice, to make your page live.

From the top of the screen, click "Edit with Elementor".

Click the "folder" icon to "Add Template".

From the top menu, click "Edit Page".

From the right sidebar change the "Template" from "Default Template" to "Elementor Canvas", and click "Save".

Then, you need to set the NEW homepage as the homepage for the site. You can do so by following this path:

Extra Options > Reading > Homepage: > [Select "New Homepage" from the drop-down menu] > Save Changes.
